Riding the Bus

Riding the Summit Stage

The Summit Stage strives to deliver free, safe, reliable and courteous public transportation to all our guests in Summit County.

Summit Stage buses stop at designated stops only, and passengers may not board or disembark between stops. All stops are by request: in advance of your stop, pull the cord to alert the driver.

Cancellations and Delays

We make every effort to run on time, according to posted schedules. However, mountain weather conditions, road construction and traffic congestion can sometimes cause disruptions and delays. You can use our SmartBus system to view the location of your bus in real time and obtain arrival-time estimates for the next bus at any bus stop.

COVID-19 Transit Limitations

Summit Stage buses are back to operating at 100% passenger capacity. We encourage passengers to practice physical distancing whenever possible.

Bike Racks

Summit Stage buses do not have bike racks over the winter.

Buses are equipped with bike racks from May 1 through October 31 only. Bike racks can accommodate up to 3 bikes max, on a first-come first-served basis. No Bikes are allowed inside of the bus.  No bikes are allowed on the racks before sunrise or after sunset.  Official times for sunrise/sunset are obtained through Google search, with Frisco, CO as the location used.  Class 1 E-bikes are allowed on our bike racks. Class 2 and above E-bikes are NOT allowed, as these bikes are too heavy for the racks. Learn how to use Summit Stage bike racks.
