Bid Title: Invitation to Bid - Chip Haul Services for 2021 Chipping Program
Category: Extension (CSU)
Status: Closed
Bid Recipient: Dan Schroder, CSU Extension Director

Description:

Summit County Government (“County”) is soliciting bids from qualified contractors to provide haul services for the following:

Wood chips that have been generated by the Summit County Chipping Program will be hauled from the designated collection sites in Summit County to Climax Mine on Fremont Pass (4,750 cubic yards) and/or to Summit County Resource Allocation Park (SCRAP; all material in excess of 4,750 cubic yards). There are three (3) collection sites. Collection site locations are at the Summit Fire and EMS yard, adjacent to Town of Silverthorne Public Works yard on Hwy. 9, across from the Three Peaks subdivision; at the Town of Dillon Public Works yard, at Cemetery Road; at the Town of Breckenridge McCain Parcel, north of Coyne Valley Road. All wood chips will be loaded by town staff, with town loaders into the contractor’s haul vans. Delivery will be documented on the contractor’s “load ticket-per cubic yard” sheet for every delivery made. Complete removal of all wood chips from the collection sites supports beneficial use of the woody biomass and is a program objective. Eligible bidders must hold MSHA certification to be able to access Climax property.
