Testing available for symptomatic and asymptomatic patients by appointment
Breckenridge, CO (December 11, 2020) ― Effective Monday, December 14, residents and visitors in Breckenridge will now have more convenient access to COVID-19 testing, as the Vail Health testing site previously located in Frisco relocates to the Speakeasy Theater at the BGV Community Center (103 S. Harris Street). In partnership with Summit County Public Health, Breckenridge Grand Vacations (BGV), and Arapahoe Basin, Vail Health will offer testing for both symptomatic and asymptomatic patients by appointment Monday through Friday from 8:30 a.m.-4:30 p.m. A referral from a healthcare provider is not needed to receive a test.
“Vail Health, in partnership with Summit County Public Health, BGV and Arapahoe Basin, has been successfully conducting COVID-19 testing in Summit County for the past month, and we have ample testing capacity and the bandwidth to test more people per day and in an area of the county that previously did not have testing available,” said Chris Lindley, Chief Population Health Officer for Vail Health. “We hope that by relocating the site to Breckenridge, at the request of Summit County, BGV and the Town of Breckenridge, that we will be able to increase the utilization of the Vail Health testing site and reach those individuals that may not have access to personal transportation.”
In addition to being able to meet current demand, this relocation gives Summit County the ability to scale throughout the ski season.
