SAVE THE DATE FOR THE SUMMIT COUNTY SENIOR CLASS OF 2020 PROCESSION

SUMMIT COUNTY, CO – Summit County Sheriff Jaime FitzSimons and the Town of Breckenridge announces the SAVE THE DATE of May 21, 2020 at 3:00 p.m. on Breckenridge Main Street for the public to celebrate the graduating Summit High School Seniors Class of 2020 from Summit High School, Snowy Peaks and The Peak School. This will be an unprecedented event in collaboration with all local public safety agencies, Summit County Government, Towns and Summit School District. The details of the procession are being finalized and will be announced early next week. The concept of the procession is that Breckenridge Main Street will be closed and the traditional parade route used as a model. In the design of the procession the spectators will be confined to their vehicles, parked facing north on Breckenridge Main Street, while the graduation procession moves through the downtown core traveling south for all to see.

Watch for more information next week. Student participants will be contacted directly by email through the Summit School District. Spectator directions and guidance will be announced in the Summit Daily News, Krystal 93 and social media channels.

It is vital to the success of this event and the health and safety of all that both spectators and participants follow directions to stay compliant with current Public Health Orders and Colorado Department of Education guidance.
