SUMMIT COUNTY, CO – On Wednesday, April 12, 2017, the Summit County Sheriff’s Office was honored to share the announcement that Operation Commander Wesley Mumford is transgender and we look forward to her continued service to our community as Commander Lesley Mumford. Sheriff Jaime FitzSimons stated, “The strength of diversity in our workforce gives the Sheriff’s Office access to a rich range of talent, representing different experiences, perspectives and styles.
