All Summit County Government buildings are currently closed to the public, but all offices are working, with a combination of limited staff working in office with physical distancing protocols in place and other staff teleworking from home. While the buildings are closed, our Clerk and Recorder’s Office has opened all five ballot boxes in the county to be used as safe, secure drop-off points for documents.
Documents deposited in the ballot boxes must be in a sealed envelope with the intended office or department clearly written on the front and your name, phone number, and email address. Contact information will be used in case staff need to contact you with questions. The following documents may be submitted in the ballot boxes:
If you need to submit payment to the ballot boxes for any office or department, please do not place cash in the ballot boxes. You may include checks, money orders, or if applicable, you can include a phone number and staff will call to obtain your credit card information over the phone.
The ballot boxes are usually managed by the Clerk and Recorder for voting during elections, and they are pleased to be able to offer the use of the ballot boxes to help facilitate County business for citizens during the COVID-19 pandemic. Summit County Government is committed to continuing to provide high-quality public services even while our buildings are closed to protect the health and safety of our staff, citizens, and visitors.
