On Wednesday, March 25, Colorado Gov. Jared Polis issued a new executive order, ordering Coloradans to stay in place due to the presence of COVID-19. The Colorado Department of Public Health and Environment issued a public health order defining critical emergency personnel, infrastructure, government functions and other activities that are exempt from the directives in the executive order.
Summit County's Public Health Order remains in effect, and in some cases, is more restrictive than the state order. On Thursday afternoon, Summit County will publish guidance to local residents identifying areas where the governor's order adds new restrictions that Summit County residents must abide by, and areas where our local order imposes tighter restrictions than the state order.
