Joshua Blanchard

Biography

  

Josh serves Summit County as the County's representative on Northwest Colorado Council of Governments, NWCCOG Econimic Development District, Water Quality/Quantity Executive Board, the Upper Colorado River Wild & Scenic Stakeholder Group, and the Blue River Watershed Group Advisory Board, among others. He serves on the CCI Taxation and Finance and Public Lands subcommittees, as well as the CCAT Natural Resources/Environment and Fiscal subcommittees. He also serves on the Summit County Art Forum and Summit Conflict Resolution Coalition.

Dedicated to working towards ensuring and enhancing the quality of living for all of Summit County’s diverse residents, Josh is honored to currently serve on the board of directors for several Summit County non-profit organizations, including The Summit Foundation, the Family & Intercultural Resource Center, Summit County Safe Passages and Growing Together. Previously, Josh served as a Commissioner on the Lower Blue Planning Commission, the Community Resident Representative for Summit County’s Zero Waste Advisory Group, board member for Lake Dillon Preschool and advisor for the Colorado Mountain College Speaker Series Board, among others.

Since 2002, Josh has worked throughout Summit County in local government, non-profit management, arts administration, higher education, resort management, destination tourism and event production. Josh holds degrees from University of Texas at Dallas and University of Colorado at Denver.
