Board of County Commissioners
The Board of County Commissioners serves as the legislative and policy-setting body for county government, enacts countywide regulations, and authorizes programs and all expenditures of county funds.

Board of Adjustment
The Board of Adjustment (BOA) reviews certain types of development proposals, such as variances and certain appeals, to ensure compliance with county regulations.

Board of Equalization
The primary function of the County Board of Equalization (CBOE) is to ensure just and equalized valuations for assessment within the county. To that end, the CBOE reviews the assessment roll of all taxable property in the county, and hears taxpayers' appeals of the Assessor's determinations.

Board of Review
The Building Board of Review makes recommendations on amendments to the building code and reviews appeals of decisions of the Chief Building Official.

Committees affiliated with CSU Extension include the 4-H Leadership Council, CSU Extension Advisory Committee and the Summit County Wildfire Council.

The Summit County Art Forum coordinates the display of public art for Summit County government. The committee also showcases local artists' work in the County Commons.

The Summit County Transit Board provides recommendations to the Board of County Commissioners regarding the finances, policies and operations of the Summit Stage public transit system.
