Planned Unit Developments

Planned unit developments (PUDs) are site-specific zoning designations, each with its own unique set of zoning regulations.

The PUD process encourages innovation and flexibility in planning the development of land so that it is compatible with a site’s physical and environmental characteristics, while aligning with the relevant master plan. The resulting PUD zoning district allows for a coordinated mix of land uses and housing types and more beneficial use of open space and the site’s natural assets.
