The Grant Program is designed to fulfill needs that an individual might have when working to improve tobacco services and capacity in Summit County. Individual applicants may request up to $2,000/year of funding for certifications, trainings, or licensures from the Grant Program.
Core Strategies of Grant Program:
Grant program is designed to help achieve the following community outcomes:
+ Improve tobacco cessation services
+ Improve community environment supportive of healthy behaviors and tobacco cessation
Specific strategy includes:
+ PROFESSIONAL DEVELOPMENT: completing a certification or training of one of the following:
Tobacco Treatment Specialist (TTS)
Certified Addictions Specialist (CAS)
Certified Addictions Technician (CAT)
Licensed Addiction Counselor
Motivational Interviewing
Certified Prevention Specialist
Health Navigator Trainings
Nicotine Tax Funded Grant Application Application
Community Tobacco Coalition

A workgroup (coalition) for youth in Summit County to fight tobacco and other substance through social justice work within the community. Our youth coalition examines the root causes for drug (substance) use, often stemming from mental health issues.
