Volunteer For the Exercise
We are recruiting volunteers to assist in this exercise from 9-11 a.m., Saturday, June 17, to act as members of the public who would be going through a drive-through POD if this were a real situation. We will ask volunteers to do the following:
- Queue up in a line at the Summit County Bus Barn (next to the County Commons in Frisco)
- Complete medical screening paperwork
- Talk to a medical screener
- Receive their medications
- Exit the POD site.
We will not ask volunteers to provide real medical information, and you will not receive real medications. Everything will be simulated. One trip through the POD will take about 10 minutes. If you have time, we encourage you to go through the POD process multiple times. This will help us determine how many people we could get through the POD if this were a real event.
We ask that you do not have pets in the car with you as you drive through the POD. This is important for the safety of our public health workers, who will be handing you simulated medication while you are sitting in your vehicle.
